Misjudged capital gain spikes as permanent revenue, over stated multi year revenues by billions which triggered multi year budget deficits

I’m a fan of prop 13, keeps family homes in the family and allows elderly to enjoy their final years and not being thrown in a state run elder care facility. Which we don’t have enough to even take in all the elders that would lose their home. While i understand your point many elderly aren’t wealthy, their living on social security and small pension payments. Having a expensive house doesn’t do anything for you if you never sell it. Most are in dire need of repair as well which on,y someone with money could take on.
