She sounds lovely!
He’s a good boy, I’m just too lazy to go fetch his toys a lot of the time!
Ahaha, we play rough sometimes. But it’s always play. He’s actually really good at noticing if he has bitten or scratched too hard, there’s a real shift in his demeanour and he suddenly gets all gentle and affectionate. But otherwise it’s game on

Games@lemmy.world•Nvidia CEO Says He Gets Where The DLSS 5 Outrage Is Coming From: ‘I Don’t Love AI Slop Myself’
6·20 days agoMy attempt to rephrase it based on how I understood it after listening to that section of the podcast (which I cannot recommend, he’s absolutely just spouting marketing shit):
You know, all of the AI-generated content increasingly looks similar, the faces generated are all beautiful in the same way, and so I’m empathetic towards what videogame fans are thinking about DLSS5
Hah, my own instance doesn’t show that. It’s a little surprise for me when someone mentions it
It was! I now know that catgrass is a separate thing, I thought it was just another name for catnip
My mother planted some of that in our garden when I was young. Literally the next day the entire plant was gone and the cat was sprawled out on the grass baked out of his tiny mind
Soup and bread is genuinely great if you have them available and don’t want to put effort into cooking. It’s the right kind of simple and hearty thing that helps when you feel run down

World News@lemmy.world•Lords a-leaving: Britain is ejecting hereditary nobles from Parliament after 700 years
41·1 month agoIt has, but the article is specifically associating this bill with the more recent reveals about Peter Mandelson. Both general public awareness of Mandelson’s association with Epstein and his appointment as ambassador to the US that brought that connection to the current government’s attention happened well after the introduction of the bill. The article draws no other connection to Epstein whatsoever, only Mandelson

World News@lemmy.world•Türkiye to deploy six F-16 jets to Turkish Cyprus amid Iran war - Türkiye Today
3·1 month agoTurquoise Cyprus
(More seriously it’d probably be Türkish if you were going to do that, but as far as I’m aware the request at the UN to use the name Türkiye does not seem to have come with a new adjectival form to go with it)
It makes him into a little speech bubble
For those who are, like me, confused about how the cat could belong to a man who died an entire human lifetime ago: the museum houses descendants of Hemingway’s childhood cat (and a bunch of other cats too). The website has a page about them that includes pictures of a few https://www.hemingwayhome.com/our-cats

They don’t, but they also don’t seem to be great at recognising spicy until it is in their mouth and causing them pain
Also, though, it’s tikka masala. It’s a British curry and it’s certainly not disproving any of the stereotypes about our spice tolerance
