100% fact.

100% fact.

Fuck the hell out of this.
My brothers in christ, I’m not going to drink bleach because the chat bot tells me to. I’m trying to come up with diagnostic ideas to discuss with my doctors, and it’s invaluable for that.

It makes me sad to see everyone trashing this so much. No one ever thought of it as a disability aid? I would love to have a system that would let me hand off strenuous parts to the AI so I could take over during less intense parts.

Adapt

I’m still pissed about the rootkit scandal. That was 21 years ago now, and I haven’t spent a penny on Sony products since.

Even though the pace is similar, it’s so rare to find someone who likes both DS and DS2 lol.

The worst mistake we made was making it easy enough for normies to use.
You want higher-quality people, you need to make it harder to use.
I know nuclear is expensive, but power generation isn’t the only reason to build nuclear reactors. Nuclear power plants basically prop up nuclear science. Without nuclear power plants, you’re hampering the chances of discovering a breakthrough that could lead to cheaper nuclear energy. And you’re pushing back the timeline on fusion.
Also, medical isotopes used for cancer treatments are created in nuclear reactors.
I used to be anti-nuclear energy until I learned a bunch of science and engineering behind it. Turns out things are less scary when you know more about them.
Edit: I also learned that it’s okay, and usually preferable, to not have a strong opinion about things that you don’t know about.
Nah, I actively choose to be mad at people who comply with this shit.
The politicians and oligarchs are always going to be shit no matter what. That’s a fundamental law of the universe. Everyone else has a choice.
That’s a lot of fancy words to say they’re bending the knee
Ugh, that reads like it was written by an llm. Please tell me that human beings don’t actually write like this now.

You’ve just described 95% of lemmy

On my UI deleted comments show up as empty comments that say [deleted] and you can see who wrote it. I’m guessing people downvote deleted comments out of spite because they’re annoying.
Also, weirdos will check what your comment used to say and reply to it anyway. I hate when they do that.
Edit: Now I see that you are talking about posts, not comments. Disregard.

Something I’ve noticed is that doctors like to offload saying “no” to insurance companies so they don’t have to do it themselves. That’s at least part of it.
It depends on a lot of factors, but it boils down to two things: Is the parent treating it with the importance it deserves? (Note this includes not doing it alone) And does the kid have the temperament for it?

If reddit keeps banning people at the present rate then it’s a real possibility.
The idiocy I see in these comments makes me weep for humanity. Most people have NO IDEA what it’s like to need and receive medical help. So much so that they want to deny tools to the very people who need them most.
