Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there a reason why the piracy scene here is so dead?
8·5 months agoCome to lemmy.today. everything is unblocked (probably)
From what I’ve seen about foveated rendering, I don’t think developers need to do anything. It should just be “on” for any streamed content

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What was your last “impulse buy” and was it worth it?
3·1 year agoGet a trackball and you won’t even need a mousepad!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What was your last “impulse buy” and was it worth it?
13·1 year agoMade a lateral upgrade from GTX 1080 to 6600XT. The performance is more or less the same but compatibility with Linux is much better for gaming. Games finally “just work” and was totally worth it for me

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Docker or Proxmox? Something else entirely?English
1·1 year agoYes that’s exactly how I run it. I backup the PBS vm separately also, in case the host goes down

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Docker or Proxmox? Something else entirely?English
2·1 year agoProxmox is great. I run each service in its own lxc/vm. Many of the vms also run docker. Probably overkill, but backups and restores via Proxmox Backup Server are super easy when segregated this way

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•What do you use the back buttons for?
0·2 years agoI use the back buttons for all sorts of stuff. But the most common use is remapping ABXY to them. That way, I dont have to lift my thumb off the joysticks as much.
Also some games have easier menu navigation with a mouse, so I’ll map left and right click to r1 and l1 and use a track pad to navigate menus.

I say yes, you would be homosexual. But do you care?
