Okay, I didn’t know ATproto had many parts that can be independent or dependent on each other. It would be nice if there was an easy way to check the level of independence of an instance

I don’t use it much, but from what I understand ATproto used to super expensive to self host but now costs have fallen significantly and other instances outside of the main Bluesky instance have emerged. I think now the problem they have to solve is getting the users (who are something like 99 per cent on the main Bluesky instance) over to the other instances.

As a non technical person, I think any tool that would make local hosting easier for laypeople like myself is great! I hope everything works out for you and localhostinger becomes a thing. I particularly like the “The app store idea” version a lot!

I’m surprised that its only 30 microns. The current govt seemed very adamant about removing plastic shopping bags waste. Although in my experience the most common shopping bags in the Ethiopia are much thinner than other countries (I would guess that they are probably only 30 microns) it would just mean the plastic producers would just shift to creating thicker bags

This sucks but I think this will lead to a Youtube exodus and other platforms like Peertube will creator and user base will grow

This article says that both Ethiopia and Yemen claim to have discovered coffee. The Ethiopian claim is that it was discovered and brewed in Ethiopia and the Yemeni claim is that Ethiopians discovered but Yemenis brewed it. I like the Ethiopian story better but it either have no conclusive evidence

What’s your source. Ethiopians will tell you up and down that they discovered and brewed coffee first
