It is a very big ask… For chat i moved to Signal and convinced my closest relatives and friends to humor me and get the app, but they didn’t let go of Whatsapp. It’s lonely but i enjoy the quietness, and do not miss the endless groups!

Keeping people dumb about the tech they’re using while maintaining messaging like “Facebook works day and night to keep you safe” was the point all along so that people don’t understand what they’re doing.
