I’ve seen much less anti-AI sentiment here in Japan. I’ve known artists who aren’t happy and engineers like me who don’t vibe-code, but I’ve never found average people mentioning it. Tons of obviously AI ads, banners, etc. around in the cities.
As much as i hate AI slop, i honestly wonder how many people globally actually care. In my country (netherlands) you see more and more AI generated ads on tv as well, and i’m not sure if the average person even cares. Maybe they don’t even notice, heck i can’t even tell at first glance sometimes, in part probably because ads aren’t really something you generally pay attention to.
