I see public smoking to be problematic and anti-social, since such folk don’t seem to care about the health of others due to 2nd hand smoke.

I have tried Handy(FOSS) on Windows & FUTO voice(not FOSS but source available) on Android
I have not used it extensively, but both seem to be good.

Offline Voice typing/Speech to text is cool.
Likely many things, from structural issues to non-structural ones.
And people do horrific acts against others.
Even going beyond individuals in need of mental healthcare access having easier access to guns… We see the USAmerican regime kill people, with their people’s dictator making threats that they will ‘end a whole civilisation’
I think they could reduce the instances of shootings by ensuring that people are taught about the gravity of such weapons, if they are in places that celebrate them

Thank you for asking about this. I was wondering why [email protected] was not having new posts for some days

I think you should probably ask a person like that(someone who you can ask)?
Other than that, maybe religion and doubt against what they consider as ‘not-normal’?
It will likely be used for productivity gains in industry and military, and for maintaining information control. Less error-prone with enough training. It may also be used to avoid being blamed for decision making.
Like how phones made writing letters less necessary, AI would probably reduce the need of regular coders and might redirect people into fields of AI research and implementors.
Country/Organisations that ensure that the productivity gains and AI availability(obviously with guardrails) go to the people, will have a more decent society vs Countries that don’t.
Seems that Communism is quite likely if automation becomes better, while also becoming more energy efficient(if climate change and other issues are also handled). Just that it may have 2 different paths:
Either way, it may be possible to develop to the stage of ‘From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs’.
Or it won’t and this advanced automation will have bottlenecks on computational power or energy efficiency that take some centuries to solve. In that case too, it will probably bring us closer to that stage.

Jerboa
Heard that it was an app from a Lemmy dev.
Tried it and it was simple enough.

If it’s a FOSS app with support for image/video caching, then it maybe a good thing for people who have slow connections or who want to save data.

Thank you
How did you learn them? Trying out things?
Any general advices on it?

Thank you

Thank you.
Transom windows are the type that are above doors?

Greater surveillance and better history/experience in surveillance?
A few years back, one of my old high school teachers told me that none of his students asked him any questions during an AP math class
Does he encourage questions?
Also, create an environment where questions would be raised? Like, letting them try out stuff or showing examples for them to play with and extend/explore?
With course completion targets, they may not be having enough time to playa around with it.
Or maybe the kids are decently smart and get the explanation from the teacher(if the context of questioning is on explanations). Or use the internet to get answers.
Or they don’t get the explanation and thus can’t ask good questions and avoid asking fearing the teacher’s response.
I literally just got called a Nazi for thinking it odd that Lemmy moderators should be able to limit your interactions from other Lemmy instances.
Moderators?
Do you mean admins of instances? Admins(or if they are cool admins and the people of the instances) have the capability to choose which instances they want to interact with, right?
Which instance were you talking about tho? Was it a Nazi-like one, which got you called the same?
Firefox on Android and PC.
Additionally, Chrome & Edge on Windows.

It is, right?
The AGI and their stuff about sentience seems mostly marketing by the corporates. Have there been any serious changes on it, right?
Tho, our concept of sentience will probably be tested while they actually test if it can be developed.

Reddit is pretty ‘Right leaning’, having ‘Centre-Right’ or ‘Pro-imperialist Centrist’ dominance.
Lemmy is an opensource equivalent and has enough left-leaning people who left reddit. The main Lemmy developers are socialists/communists
At the same time, have heard of right wing Lemmy instances too, even ones which mimic reddit-style too.
Were the political discussions good and matching the topic of the communities? If so, it is better than many reddit subs that force arbitrary apolitical neutrality, right?
I don’t like those too. A reason why I support the popularisation of electric vehicles and induction cooking.
And is it not like saying ‘the climate will likely change, so why have complaints on the global warming adding to it’?
Why pour oil on the fire?
