Sure, but then again, most superpowers don’t run out of ammo a month into a war, or telegraph a landgrab against their biggest, most reliable allies, yet here we are. But that’s also besides the point: if the US were to win a shooting war over Greenland, it’s all the more important for them to be the ones to start it.

Who’s “we”? And they would be wise to send both. Police involvement would be necessary because this is, at it’s core, a law enforcement operation, and the military, if for no other reason, for logistics. The foreign nature of the operation doesn’t fundamentally change things, and ther hostility is… let’s say contingent on other factors.

It has an excuse, which it may or may not act upon. But making that escalation is Trump’s mistake to make. That’s my point.

Primitive technology is genuinely fascinating to watch. And Simon Roper is fascinating to listen to.

It very much is. The topic here is private citizens doing crime abroad. If the Jakuza started an illegal mining operation in Sweden, it would be handled by the Swedish police. If they so require, the Swedish police would request assistance from the Swedish military. Either way, it would be an internal matter of a sovereign nation, to be handled by that sovereign nation.

…Yes, you will note that Grenada was invaded by the US military. Catspaws don’t quite have that kind of firepower.

And we’re also not talking about Greenland police, we’re talking about the Kingdom of Denmark.

Start with the local police, and escalate as needed, same as you would if LEGO decided to start a paramilitary camp. Point is, unless US troops get involved, this is a local matter, and it benefits Denmark for it to stay that way.

…You know, good point. If, for example, an American brings a gun to, IDK., Paris, and shoots someone, the only reasonable respone by France is to nuke Washington.

A very American take. But there’s really no need to be the ones escalating to war here. If the yanks are doing illegal stuff, just arrest them and sent them to jail. Confiscate any equipment, fine any companies. I’m sure they’ll throw a fit and try and sue, but by the time the case hits court, it’ll be out of the news.

Nah, they thought the decapitation strike would paralyse the nation, and they could just take over like in Venezuela.
It’s Robbie Rotten from Lazytown, peeking out of a mailbox. It’s from years ago.

It’s right there behind the buttons. The whole button panel comes off, and leaves a hole in front of the mechanism.
Nah, these people are Americans. Mr. Hilter is from North Minehead

In the words of Dan Olson, “they are trying to build a flat Earth”.

Bold of you to assume you’ll have a choice

The school was near a base, a lot of the parents were officers. They tripple-tapped the school hoping to use dead children as bait to kill their parents.
Depends on the exact word. For example, person is grammatically female, even if the actual person isn’t. Or, a lot of times you can make a different form, but you don’t strictly need to.
It’s actually somewhat of an ongoing debate in places WRT professions: declaring whatever the current word is to be gender neutral, or having mandatory versions for both male and female (German /inen approach).
Of course. Which is why it benefits Greenland to keep it a local affair. If the US intends to invade, it will, but there’s no benefit for Greenland to force their hand.
