A lot of old people have beliefs from a very… different time. Y’all know what I mean. They bear a lot of blame for the way things are in general. I’m seeing a lot of people jump to conclusions about you for some reason. If it’s mostly old people, then you’re probably right. I honestly don’t fw most old people I know. A lot of them are grump old fucks, some with better reasons than others.

I’d say that a lot of race is based upon shared experiences with other members of the group, and being seen as part of the group. Many people from the Middle East and North Africa see themselves as white. A lot of white Americans and Europeans disagree. I would say that being perceived as a member of an in group is more important than actual color. For example, some lighter skinned African-Americans were able to be perceived as white, thus being treated significantly better. Were they black? Of course they were. They made a conscious decision to pick which experiences and culture they wanted. But they definitely had experiences where they didn’t pass, and had experiences according to their given race.

MLK was certainly preferable for the government. Malcolm was murdered by the NOI though. I would’ve expected the government to have killed him by that point, no idea why he wasn’t. Violence would’ve been reasonable. Killing Strom Thurmond could’ve only turned out well.

How have the protests helped so far? And I’m completely willing to do this, I just lack literally any of the means to do it. I don’t expect most people to do this. But there’s enough people with nothing left to lose, to do something. Anything. I don’t like violence. But protests only work when the government cares about popularity and giving the people what they want. I’d like for peace to work. But there’s either causing real interference, or waiting this out. I don’t think many of us will be around unscathed by that point.

Are companies trying to get it banned or something? Prosecute users?
