It’s so weird that the article just assumed everyone would know what a flatpack was. With all the talk of Lego, I assumed it was a Lego-like toy.

It’s not just corruption. Conservatives are violent in their speech and actions. Consider that back when the Iran nuclear deal was being negotiated everyone who objected to the treaty were conservatives. The conservatives of the US, UK, Europe, Iran and Israel. It was the liberals around the globe that were waging peace.
It just so happens that the GOP is so corrupt
It’s no accident.

No, this is because he doesn’t have enough free time to be an abusive husband at home.

Did you reply to the wrong comment?

Right. The oil we produce is not suitable for the refineries we have. Most people don’t understand this at all.
One thing I find funny is when “conservatives” say that we should not import or export oil, but only use our own. They don’t realize that this is a very anti-capitalistic idea. It also flies in the face of their laissez faire capitalistic notions.

The difference is that now there are viable alternatives. Countries around the world are stepping up their renewables and embracing EVs. Trump’s stupid war could very well end up being the catalyst for the rest of the world ditching oil.
In many countries EV sales are higher than ICE sales.

The demand for this data is a McGuffin.
The feds already have the means to get this data without asking. Voter registration data, excluding ssn and birthdate, are sold by every state in the union. The feds already have the rest of the information. It’s a trivial exercise to pull all that data together from those sources.
So why are they making such a fuss over this? Clearly it’s not for analysis, because if that were the case, the public information is enough. And they control the private information… so what is really going on here?

Are you aware that the Biden administration, as a condition of Joe stepping aside, insisted that Kamala not deviate from the administrations policy positions at all? She was hamstrung from the beginning.
You may be unaware that when Joe stepped aside the only person who could legally replace him on the ticket was Kamala Harris.

If you didn’t vote then you may as well have voted for him regardless.
You can’t convince those people of this. Similarly, it’s damn near impossible to get people to understand that you can vote your conscience in primaries but you need to be strategic in the general.

Fuck Ralph Nader. If it weren’t for him we wouldn’t have had Dubya and the Iraq war. Hell, we might not have even had 9/11 and the Afghan war because the administration would have heeded the intelligence that showed Al Qaida was planning the attack.

He’s dying. I’ll be surprised if he makes it another 12 months.

I do something similar. I’ll often misstate numbers in the same way hoping that they will look it up to try and prove me wrong and succeed. They get a little dopamine rush when they see I’m wrong and that makes it easier for them to understand that if I had been accurate, it would paint an even grimmer picture.

No one has ever seen (disapproval) ratings this high!

Shame you’ve got an idiot rampaging through the world markets for a relative pittance (but actual fortune) from insider trading. Who would have thought that’d go badly long term.
Ironically, it may actually be Trump who brings about the rapid global adoption of EVs and renewable energy because of his stupid war with Iran and his tariffs. The rest of the world is fed up with having to rely on fossil fuels and they are dramatically ramping up both EV adoption as well as renewable energy.
I get the feeling that the US and Russia will be the last countries to fully adopt electric vehicles.
Meanwhile Trump is paying companies in the US to shutter wind turbine projects.

Keep in mind that according to the US Department of Education, 54% of American adults cannot read or write prose beyond a sixth grade level.
Also, I have read elsewhere that nearly 20% of Americans are functionally illiterate. I wonder how many of these people vote.

Not half. Only 65% of the population who was eligible to vote, did so.
That means a majority of Americans rejected Trump.

I should have been more clear. The US routinely prosecutes soldiers for all sorts of crimes having nothing to do with friendly fire. Examples include but are not limited to embezzlement, rape, torture and murder. There is no statute of limitation on murder.
Also, just because I’m a vet, it doesn’t mean that I’ve ever participated in a war. In fact, I haven’t. Unless you count being stationed in Germany during the cold war, manning a desk in a medical supply unit.
No one was making excuses. It’s weird that you would think that.
