I‘d say that caring for yourself is an important step towards caring for others and having the strength to do so.

Yeah, if you wanted something a bit more legit, https://www.highlandtitles.com/ offers to become a „Lord/Lady of the Glen“™️. And they are open about it being just for fun. They state:
**You will be addressed by your choice of Laird, Lord or Lady of the Glen by us and within our 300,000+ strong community. Please note you cannot buy a noble title. This is for enjoyment purposes only. *You obtain a personal right to a souvenir plot of land. Highland Titles remains as the registered landowner and manages the land on your behalf.
But you get a nice printout and some trinkets as well…
And this is how you further damage democracy and strengthen the far right. Because a lot of the people who don’t vote or vote for the far right are people who feel left behind who are of the impression that the system is broken and they don’t benefit from it. Social welfare is a way to directly show everyone what a democratic state is good for. Policies that benefit the poor, the working class and the middle class make a strong society. But Merz and others simply don’t seem to get it or care and stare in wonder at the ever rising numbers of people who want to see the world burn.
In my town there ist one restaurant which offers this as smoker’s breakfast, including coffee.
As part of the woke crowd, what I want to see is the „mainstreamification“ of respect for and safety of the people in sex work. You know, because they’re people.
I think it’s great!
As shitty as that is of him, this is sadly what often happens with homeless people or people with substance abuse problems. Push them away, so people no longer see the problems that society should try to help with. Which by the way is something a government should do. So a president who sees a lot of homeless people on his daily routes could get the idea that his government should do something? Well unsurprisingly, not this one…
If I know, I‘ll probably pass someone asking for money, I try to have some change prepared, so I don’t have to get out my wallet. (Where I live, there are just a few places where that’s likely. ) I usually just say no if unprepared. My basic assumption is that someone asking for money in the streets is worse off than me, so it’s nice if I can help. But then again, if I don’t feel safe, I won’t give anything and since I can’t help everyone I don’t feel bad not giving anything.
As a young adult, last year in school and first year out I kind of had this. There was a bar in our town where we went to, not every day but very often. It was a great time!
On the one hand: Two cats are better than one! 😻 On the other hand: Every time I did that in the past, the cats hated each other. I still had two cat friends instead of one. But that’s just my experience, I know of a lot of cases, where this worked out fine. Just make sure to check with your landlord first and that you are able to deal with the possible cat drama.
Just adding to „It will take a while“. It would be faster if you‘d been fit before because the body remembers. But you should feel strength improvements and you should feel better quite soon. And clothes might be less tight. But visible results take longer. And after a while you’ll hit a tableau and you’ll have to power through that without giving up. It will be best if you don’t focus on looks too much but rather on feeling good and fit. Kudos for starting this path!
As much as I disagree with most of what Merz has to say: He is rich, but not a billionaire. He seems to have about 12 million €, which is a lot but nowhere near billionaire. He should still shut up.

I immediately remember these and have enjoyed them very much:
There are more „episodes“ from this event on YouTube. They are all pretty great. Kirk seems to have problems debating with people who actually know their stuff and don’t let themselves be tricked.
