Building a PC right now is not the best idea, RAM and storage prices have increased a lot (in the US) anyway. And I agree with the comment that pretty built aren’t the best option either. My friends who have got pre Built’s have both had issues with them. Alternatively, steam just announced their new steam machine which will be based on their steam OS and I believe will have a normal linux desktop environment like the steam deck does. As for distro, I use and recommend linux mint. It’s designed very similar to windows and you don’t need to access the terminal as often as some other distros. I have an Nvidia 4070 and it works perfectly fine with mint.

That’s weird. I don’t use any of those other programs but Firefox dark mode has been broken for a while for me.

There’s plenty of tutorials on YouTube to walk you through installing all the major linux distros. And distros like mint are pretty streamlined now. It’s pretty straight forward. And there’s a good community here that is always willing to help.

You always had the choice to install Linux, and still do. Dont let them control your PC.

Have they changed the game a lot since launch? When I was watching the reviews of it, everyone made it seem like you have to have a cohesive party all working together and using their skills properly and the game is impossible solo.

What you got against Cold Play?

Temperatures closer to 100c and over are worrisome. But it depends on the environment and if it’s a laptop or desktop. Laptops run hotter, that desktops and its normal for them to be in the 80s for either GPU or CPU. As for usage percents. GPU usage should almost always be close to 100% for graphically Intense games, but there are variables such as resulotion and frame rate. Looking at your numbers you posted, I don’t see an immediate reason why it would be crashing so soon. The temps and usages were fine, so that would lead me to suspect software.

And did you try proton experimental?

Those numbers are pretty normal. Especially if the game is compiling shaders. But 71c on the CPU is a little warm 2s after starting the game.

Yes it is. And you can look up a video on how to install it too. There isn’t a GUI, just a text editor. And you set launch parameters for it to show up in steam. Or lutris has the option for it in settings.
