  • It’s moreso that it’s under Microsoft’s thumb. See all the tech companies are unreliable and out for you data but Microsoft also consistently fumbles on everything. They made Windows and Office then just stopped doing anything new and kept making their old products worse.

Xbox is practically dead, they bought Minecraft and you can feel the vultures circling overhead, even the AI bubble they’re just funding OpenAI and making slight adjustments for their own versions.

I’m planning on jumping ship to Linux when I make a new PC. Only thing Microsoft I even consider using nowadays is VScode.

My main criteria for a browser is not being Chrome or Chromium based.

This leaves my only options being Firefox and it’s forks.

Or Microsoft Edge which stifles laughter I’m not gonna do.

Currently on Firefox but might give Librewolf a try.

Edit: I’ve been told Edge is also Chromium based now, the Firefox ecosystem really is the last holdout huh?

  • The yellow sticker usually correspond to what tote they belong in and the order they’re in for the delivery route, first thing you typically do is unpack a tote in the truck and sort them by number for ease of access.

My brain wants to trigger this sorting mode whenever I grab my packages, and it just reminds me of that terrible job.

Amazon has a system of desperate contractor companies that are absolutely reliant on amazon since they own the warehouses, trucks, and everything, but are also a moment away from having their contract ended, basically destroying the company. As a result you’re not really respected even if your employer tries hard to, they just can’t care for employees at risk of dissolving.

  • The spark is temporary, in my experience it comes and goes in waves. But a relationship requires work, even if your bored with/frustrated at/unfulfilled by your partner, some level of effort and perseverance is where true love begins.

There’s always a balance, don’t put effort into a sinking ship. But if you want a long term marriage your going to have to risk investing in someone who’s not currently satisfying you.

Also get checked for anything external that could make you lose interest, like depression that fosters apathy or ADHD that fosters boredom. If it’s bad enough to end 5 marriages it may be that your brain is chemically unsatisfied.

  • I hate hate hate when people try to discredit a theory because “it’s a theory not a fact” as if the label of “fact” exists on some kind of science ladder for an idea. “Facts” is a colloquial word like any other, it’s not some special category above theories.

Moreover, the most tried and tested theories are facts. Science rarely just disproves an established theory outright. Einstein’s General Relatively equations reduces into Newton’s Laws of Motion in most situations. Newton’s Laws of Motion weren’t “wrong”, it’s just General Relatively is more specific and accurate.

The Scientific Method usually just builds on what already exists without claiming we were all unfactual for working with what we had.
