Elite: Dangeous - best space-sim out there, no other comes close. Also one of the few live-service games with a great community around it.

Anno 2205 - Seem by many as the black sheep in the anno series, it’s still a great game with a fantastic future vibe.

Craft the world ( hey, it’s also on gog ) - dwarf fortress like game

Civilization: Beyond Earth - Firaxis’ attempt at a contemporary Alpha Centauri, based on the Civ 5 engine. Great game in itself, with some great ideas. Also gets a lot of hate for some reason.

Planetbase ( also on gog ) - Great space-colony builder

1800 did not have that nimby mechanic. Actually can’t remember if any anno game had it ( maybe 1701 ). 1800 also did away with the separation between campaign and endless and just mooshed them together in what was one of the very few downsides of the game.

To me this one looks less like an anno and more like a contemporary Impressions city builder, but the potential is there. Fingers crossed that ubi doesn’t stuff it full of anti-features.

The “sovereignists” had about 30% of the parliament already, but I imagine it was the decision to cancel the first set of elections that tipped the scales. Heard of plenty of people that decided to vote Simion out of sheer spite after that stunt.

About as fair as you can hope for in this country, I suppose. I imagine the large parties pulled all the stops and still couldn’t grab more than 20%. And I know they didn’t covertly support Simion (yet) because last night they were pissed.

He’ll probably sit on 40% of the votes by the end of the count. It’s pretty fuckin grim.

Are HMDs really more repairable? Most recent phone they had that tried to be repairable was Skyline and even there it was pretty limited. And btw that one didn’t have a jack either.
