where can i get a square gray cat like that?
the skinny orange pillow is kinda cool, too.

just ream 'em on a receipt review. the franchisee here actually seems to pay attention to ones critical of things relating to wait times and quality of service and product.

if you’re like me and just need the noise from the fan, and not the air circulation, there are other, more efficient ways to get white noise… some of which would have battery power available.
for instance, i use an old laptop (with an internal battery for ‘backup’) and usb powered speakers (the ones built in aren’t loud enough when the lid is closed (it runs that way). if the power goes out, the laptop runs for several hours (even with the old battery) before it hibernates due to a low battery.

if you’d plug a device into a regular wall outlet for power, it’s ac. if your power bank has an internal inverter and provides an ac outlet, you should be able to just plug it in–provided its power demands fit within the output specs of the power bank. a normal box fan using 20-75w (approximately what ours here are, depending on age. newer models are more efficient) should be ok.

the rare occasion where i go to mcdonald’s, i always go inside and order from a real person at a the (there’s only one here now) register. i want to exchange cash for product and that’s the only way to do it.

cynic might suspect that Elon is just juicing expected revenues
given his reputation, previous actions, and thirst for even more wealth… anyone with more than three brain cells should see the scam being set up.

google owns a fair chunk of the company from a substantial investment a decade ago. this is just a further ‘investment’ to boost spacex financials prior to the anticipated ipo. has nothing to do with elon’s pipe dream of data centers in space.

he doesn’t care about the players… 40% of which are not white, nearly 30% are foreign-born… but there might be a couple who have given him money or sucks-up to him in ‘other ways’…
he really only ‘cares’ about the wealthy owners who give him money.

or sooner.

warframe is only ‘grindy’ if you make it that way. it can totally be a ‘play whenever’ affair if you let it.

gotta inflate those ipo so everybody (that they choose) ‘wins’.
you watch them. why can’t they watch you?

that’s what they’re working towards… removing the extra prime benefits.
but you’ll pay more just for that by the time they’re finished.
iirc (gnome) tweaks has a toggle for separating dialogs from parents.

test results were inconclusive. please provide additional samples.

it’s a dead market. once the current crop of retirees die off, there won’t be anymore because the rest of us will have to work til we die.
gnome dumbed itself down too far, it’s turning into the win10 or 11 of linux–with features, basic features… expected features and functions, now missing… and the bland ui that makes it difficult to even see a damn window border without customizing tf out of it. i do not subscribe to their idea of one workspace per window or application. fk that.
the only thing that was keeping it on a few systems here was an extension. one not even made by them. i found an equivalent kwin script for plasma. starting switching stuff over the next day.
i won’t go back. and i’ve found that gtk and libadwaita stuff actually looks better on kde, anyway. so no change in what i’m using, just what everything runs from.
i might still put gnome on for others, if all they’re looking for is a dumbed-down, simple launcher for their browser–like an alternative to chromebook, but that’s it.

my boss just emails stuff to herself… or just lets it sit in drafts (imap) with the attachment.
i use localsend, wormhole, or similar usually, especially if one or both the devices aren’t “mine”… and if it’s stuff i’m ‘sending’ to a handheld from a pc, i might instead drop them somewhere on one of our dietpi boxes and just use http
not “motorola” (as in the mobile phone company that’s now part of lenovo, or the old cable box/modem company which is owned by arris), but rather a licensee of the name and trademarks for certain networking products… “premier logitech” (which has nothing to do with the computer peripherals company), which is owned by one of those buyout/“investment” firms “tide rock”.
i wouldn’t expect a thing out of them, especially support for gear designed, made or sold prior to tide rock’s ownership (acquired in 2024).
