I am not a psychology major or anything, but isnt it that microtransactions are designed in such a way that they hook players in not by being fun but by being a literal gambling? Or in case no lootboxes, FOMO? Like LoL once done with many skins stating “It is a one time possible to purchase, never comes back like ever!!!1!11” to later sell them once again.

Back in a day you either customize game yourself by downloading mods and models, or you earn your fancy skins by being good at the game. Today it is just a purchase. There is no fun in cosmetics beside bragging about them. There might be fun in pay to win, but not for those who doesn’t pay. Neither it is healthy fun.

My friend complained that there is no reason to use turn signal to show me parking on the side of the remote road in the middle of the night. I just said “It’s a muscle memory”. Later he bought himself BMW and things came clear.

I would debate that Asmongold has a Charisma. People, for the reason unbeknownst to me, are enjoying to watch other people destroy themselves. Typically, their target already shows some dysfunctional behavior. Asmon is textbook this case. There is no charisma. He is just attracting spectators by destroying his image and his personality. I saw same happen to many streamers and influencers and Asmon is not a special case. He is the case.

Yes and no. Some things got better and easier than 30 years ago. Some things entshittified beyond reasonable expectations.

We got phones which act as a device to connect the world with endless amount if information, entertainment and is a great tool for personal comfort yet the same things are twisted to a degree where we cant live without a phone anymore. Can’t not to have a social media account, we got fully compliant to the surveillance that is happening to us not even that we are tracked not only for the governments of our countries but mainly by advertisers in order to manipulate us into buying crap we don’t need.

Feels like a double edged sword to me personally.

Baffles me why would anyone watch him at all. Maybe people watch him to see him destroy himself as in many other cases online. It it is that, then fuck all those enablers and let their life be a soulless, joyless, empty life.

Here’s a short story for this fact.

I have sold coffee machine on Monday. Next day got a message that it doesn’t work. I ask what is up with it and she told me it won’t start. I asked if she turned switch in the back in ON position? 1h later she writes me that it works!

I mean yeah, there is a switch in the back and a big ass ON button on the front. But I totally think that basic troubleshooting would solve this enigma before shooting the gun at me for selling a faulty device.

I had to do it because many use it and I was not. If you want to communicate in certain parts of the world, this is the only way. I wish everyone would go to Signal or Telegram but everyone are not me.

I found that visitng shop frequently and buying a little each time helps with this. Also, knowing what you have and planning what to cook with stock in mind. Also, one might find better to buy at small grocery stores (turkish in my area). These have ability to buy as an example 10 or less potatoes instead of fixed 2.5kg of potatoes. That way you’re not bound to swiftly eat potatoes before they rot.

Perhaps you have missed the part where Israeli citizens have been openly saying that we need to wipe Iran, Palestine and multiple other countries off from the world map.

Not like Iranian and Palestinian people haven’t said anything similar. This issue is not black and white. There’s a hundred of different shades of piss and shit. Everyone is right from their standpoint and everyone is wrong from other’s standpoint.
