  • I’m Indigenous Canadian and my dad was born in the wilderness in a very traditional lifestyle in northern Ontario. His first and only language was Ojibway/Cree, he understood English but seldom spoke it as he preferred his our language only.

As a teen in the 90s I loved watched TNG and I watched it as often as I could whenever I could. I never stuck to a schedule and we only had the most basic satellite TV package we could afford at the time. I was so engrossed and loved the show so much that my dad at one point asked me … ‘It’s amazing that people are up there now that are doing all those things’

I had to explain to him that it was all just as show that was fake and that none of it was real.

To me … this is my favourite TNG moment … that the show was so convincing and well performed that it made my dad believe that it was real.

To be fair, my dad was probably the most intelligent person I’ve ever known and an excellent teacher. In his prime, he often just walked into the wilderness with nothing but a knife in the fall and came back midwinter with a stack of furs to trade and make money and then head back out again with very little to survive on. He just wasn’t that aware of what the outside world was all about.

  • We can thank the Himalayan Mountains for that.

Northern Africa was a lush wooded area for lots of different types of animals and predators. The Himalayan mountains weren’t having an effect until they rose higher and changed weather patterns. Less rain started to fall in northern Africa, the woods opened up to savanna and desert, less animals were around with fewer predators and our ape like ancestors had to leave the trees to walk further and further away. They figured out that standing up on two feet gave them a weird advantage of being able to see further while other animals were cautious of meeting an animal taller than them. And as soon as these apes freed up their hands, they started using them for other tasks. The more they used their hands the more complex their brains became.

All because a bunch of mountains changed the weather and got rid of a lot of predators that would have eaten our ancestors.

  • No one ever asks or follows up to ask later … WHAT MEDICATIONS WERE THEY ON?

The biggest industries in the US is guns and pharmaceuticals … mix into all that a media landscape and a social media fantasy land of misinformation, disinformation and non-information to make people as angry, upset, scared and frightened as possible.

Pump them up with mind altering medications … bombard them with misinformation … then give them a gun

What do you think will happen.

The only thing I ever surprised about all this is that it doesn’t happen more often

  • Keeps getting identified as “marshmallows”

No matter how you scan them, it’s always marshmallows

A male cashier comes to help and stretches out your scrotum … beep … marshmallows

He calls a manager and two more people show up, a manager who looks like a 14 year school girl and a 70 year old man with bad hearing

They all try to grab and stretch your ball sack to get a proper scan while you’re fighting everyone to stop touching your genitals

    Beep … marshmellows
