i can make a much cheaper, less complex, and perfectly accurate version of this that automatically sorts waste based on its final destination: it’s just a trash can and it all goes to the dump because recycling isn’t profitable :(

in australia we had alpha and numeric divided and then a few years ago we switched to just alphanumeric everywhere… the font used is made to be machine readable - an I and a 1 look very different; it’s a non-issue

natural dyes still exist (which doesn’t imply they’re necessarily healthier; just that if banning artificial dyes that doesn’t mean there will be no food colouring)… afaik australia has much stricter regulation around some of this, and tbh you can barely tell the difference… some products are slightly less vibrant, but honestly if you’re not directly comparing them you don’t even notice

you have to provide ID to register any .au, so you’re verified as a person, and though they don’t pre-check your nickname, AFAIK if there’s a complaint you do have to prove that you’re “known by” that name

then surely you would not have asked your OS to shutdown? linux does what you ask

to lead you down the right path, yes… llms will lead you down an arbitrary bath, and when that path is biased by your own negative feelings it can be incredibly damaging

domain names do that for people with well known domain names, and verification processes do that for people without

awesome lists in general are a great thing to search for in a lot of situations

and afaik that’s global: weather agencies around the globe collaborate to produce the highly accurate forecasts we all enjoy, since weather is often global

taking it out of the bag to use occasionally would make it far more difficult to target than being active constantly
