This is a hilarious take. How far do you think it would go if only black people cared about black problems? If only black people fought against slavery, I’m almost certain it would still be widespread publicly. It still certainly is t fixed. We still have systemic corruption and incarceration based servitude for slave wages, but on an individual level, it’s been mostly taken care of and because it wasn’t just the directly affect fighting against it. Despite it being AI, I really don’t have much of a problem with implementation like this. It sounds like the rest of the game is made by humans. Having a clippy-type companion that offers tips for your class or forward progress tips based on previous progress, the idea has potential. AI has the potential to be extremely helpful in guidance. The issues come from building the infrastructure using AI. We shouldn’t be using it to create, but to enhance what has already been created. AI is a tool, not a solution.

Right, but AI in itself is not bad. Instances of it are bad because it does certain tasks poorly, and when we don’t know our topics well enough, we can’t spot its errors. You don’t learn when you expect your shortcut to do the work. And worse, you can’t error check if you can’t do yourself, what you’re asking it to do.

The issue is not and has never been “AI bad.” The issue is that everyone is trying to use it as a replacement for human generated content and human critical thinking. If you don’t know how to math, how could you possibly know it’s wrong when a calculator tells you 1+1=11?

And nothing of value was lost.
