Okay… so this is a thing places do. Good to know. I thought the crazy farmer at the maize maze locally had lost his last kernel with just a box full of this stuff for the kids to basically swim in.

3·4 months agoI was wondering when they’d land down here, and I’m not sure Baton Rouge or New Orleans are good places to try these stunts. Perfect place to lose some of your guys or at least find out how many people have unregistered firearms. Oh, ya’ll didn’t check to see if these people are “Constitutional Carry” participants… Seems like something you’d not want to try around these parts.

Do you know how much market share they’d have to actually share with using standardized systems to share information? Blasphemy.

12·9 months agoI mean, that’s the point, right? The only way they can offer those “experiences” is to process your data. We need to get off the teat of convenience and learn to use the tools and want to put a little effort into things again. We’ve relied on them to just feed us the information in the way we want it for so long, we’ve forgotten how it got there originally. We can do it. It’s okay to take 5 minutes and put that info into Calendar. Learn how to formulate the searches to get your information, and alternatives to make sure you’ve covered your bases. READ THE BOOK/BLOG/EMAIL YOUR DAMN SELF and write a summary in your own words.

It’s carsinisation but for cars. Everything evolves into a type of SUV. It makes sense since physics kind of dictates how aerodynamics works and engineers just have to work around that.
I’m looking forward to the day when we don’t have rear-view mirrors and just use cameras. Kind of surprised we haven’t just gone that direction already. Screens and camera tech has gotten good enough that we can do that pretty efficiently.
The issue I have with some of the more “modern” cars is getting rid of the door handles on the outside. These pop-out things are just a hazard for people in colder climates or places where dust and other ingress can cause problems opening the door. Although, it would be nice to have my kids walk up to the door and not jerk on the handle 2-3 times before I can get the keys out to unlock it.
