  • (you don’t have to be witty when you want to be savage.)

They don’t seem to be nice people, so I wouldn’t recomment to try being friends with them. If they bother you and you want to change it then speak up that they are out of line, but do so at your own accord, not because someone told you to, because you need to assess the situation. If they are reasonable then they might just not realise they are out of line, if they actually want to insult you then then it might just fuel the flames. I’d write something like “stop bothering me”

  • I stuck with superproductivity. It supperts boards (you can configure your own board, but kanban and eisenhower are build in i think (i dont use that feature) i like how they handle projects and task storage. They have a philosophy of not adding task from a project to the daily clutter, you chose yourself. If helps to not feel overwhelmed and it can store tasks.

Its not that good for lists of things imo, its better for for timetracking. But you can create a task and easily do subtasks and use it as a list. Also I think it is installable via docker but I don’t know, I havent used docker, but a search gave some results.

  • I hate AI, but still use it from time to time when 3+ searches would yield no result, or I am already quite adapt to a topic and just want some stupid research work done by a web scraper tool, or when searching on brave search and I just search for a command in bash or something like that on a topic where I don’t currently want to learn (maybe because of a deadline). I am inpatient at the moment, pressed for time and still want to try new things. It’s a faster search engine for me right now because search engines and wesites became infested with SEO, bots and AI slop, at least I get to control the answers a bit better

  • Ironically I switched off of ddg to brave search because I wanted to block more than 5 AI embracing websites. I haven’t yet tested it thoroughly yet because AI overviews were quite helpful the last month for syntax questions and that were all my searches, but now I want (and am able) to test brave search without AI and with weights to curate my search.

  • I use nvim/ vim just because i was new and didn’t know anything I could edit on an ssh connection with beside vim. And it isn’t that hard, using lazyvim atm (still new and dont have time to configure myself) and if I can just use the mouse if I am too stupid, not that hard. But it get more and more convenient as time goes on. You encounter enough times and just think to yourself “is there a better way?” and most of the time there is! Just start with “i”, “<Esc>” and “:wq”.
