I seem to be repeating myself a lot lately.

Several economists, including Nobel laureates are noting that the only way out of this mess is to redistribute all of the wealth at the top.

We can try to New Deal it, but much like the original one by FDR it will be a temporary stopgap to keep capitalism going for a bit longer. And it may not work very well since the ultra wealthy are richer than they’ve ever been any time before in history.

Also we have nuclear weapons, and terribly stupid people in power.
