I realized this last visit that my stylist has been cutting my beard shorter and shorter while I’ve been trying to grow it out. This last time they went really short and asked me how it looks and my day was ruined.

May i ask you, or any man that had someone else manage their beard: why don’t you manage your beard yourself?

Barbers can do a really good job. Better than I can with rinky dink beard trimmers at home. That and they can really accentuate your features.

That said I wouldn’t have them do it exclusively or do anything more than a simple cleanup if youre worried about length.

Moved to a new city, told the barber i want a short buzz cut, they asked me what number. I had no idea what it meant at the time and didn’t want to ask so I just confidently said 1.

They gave me the hair cut. Internally I was freaking out, but said I loved it. They did exactly as I instructed. I was just an idiot lmao. Also basically no way to fix it at that point.

Where you can sit through hundreds of haircuts, staring directly into a mirror, watching the whole process from about two feet away and still be totally incapable of doing it on your own
