Or when they say something you agree with for 80% of their comment and then at the very end take a hard turn into something distasteful. You were so close!

I love those. They always catch me off guard and I usually choke on whatever I was eating/drinking at the time lol

Best one I heard was a guy explaining all the bargain basement things the government does wrong, how to fight bad policy via local elections, supporting quality changes and movementd, and then ending it on flat earth because the government made up round earth too lol.

Nietzsche wrote, “We often refuse to accept an idea merely because the way in which it has been expressed is unsympathetic to us.” - Human, All Too Human

    Might be a different translation

While this quote can be found all over the internet, attributed to Nietzsche, I’m unable to find even a single source reference, no mention anywhere of from where it originates. Do you know for certain that it’s from Nietzsche? I’m starting to get the feeling that it has been misattributed to him.

    Me everyday lol

I be out here defending Harry Potter simply because the anti-HP crowd in queer spaces have become so toxic they’re turning the concept of having read a book 15 years ago into some sort of puritan test of thoughtcrime.

It is okay if you liked the story. It does not make you a lizardperson antichrist lol

I literally wouldn’t even know an HBO show was happening if people hadn’t been rageposting about it round the clock. Every single JK Rowling update I have ever received has been from left and queer sources. I just don’t understand how anyone can follow all the trivial social media accounts of a vocal fascist who they claim to hate. It’s one thing when it’s a politician and keeping an eye out is for the sake of your own wellbeing, but she’s literally just some washed up has-been celeb. Block that shit and stop giving her new projects free advertizing, please.

Some people spend too much time online and it shows. There are some very drama filled spaces where it seems like people purposely follow things that make them angry and assume everyone else should be as angry as they are.

I know the algorithms encourage it, but people need to just disengage and stop giving bandwidth to the rage bait stuff.

She couldn’t pay for better press, their vitriol is making her a bloody fortune.

Trump also comes to mind, one thing he has always been is a master of is free press coverage. He’s such an enraging clown it won him the Presidency.

The press is only concerned with ratings, so they rage bait every chance they get with 24-7 coverage.

On the one hand I agree with you that following raise air isn’t helpful but there are at least 2 other people I can think of that I ignore who post online a lot and cause a lot of damage who you can’t ignore, Trump and Musk, they have their followings that make all interactions more toxic and don’t want to be ignored and will make rash decisions to not be. I’m not sure ignoring is the right decision because one of them bought power and the other conned their way into power, J.K. Rowling has some power and has thrown her weight in regards to that just not as much as others outside her focused political efforts which do suck. Does fascism grow in ignorance from those who don’t follow their dogma or does it starve for more attention and wither until it gets that attention?

Me with nuclear power. It is probably a good option at the moment, but some people are just so braindead about insisting it’s the best possible source of energy with no downsides

Being into cars and video games, this happens so frequently. Especially because I enjoy both console and PC. Both sides make me hate both sides.

I forgive some of the console users. I do not forgive the console makers.

Consoles with their exclusivity and unique & DRM’d hardware are extremely bad for game preservation.

Seems like handhelds are more under the radar, yeah. They definitely catch some strays, though. There was a good amount of Steamdeck vs Switch 2 a year ago I remember. Which, like, it’s different shit entirely. Having both is the ideal setup for a handheld fan.

Yes I buy Nintendo consoles pretty much exclusively for Zelda games. Occasionally there is another game not on PC like unicorn overlord so I buy it on switch as well. Otherwise its pretty much steamdeck/PC for me once gaming on Linux became a viable option ~5 years ago.

Also, sometimes I’ll see comments about things that I had no opinion on that just seemed so obnoxious or annoying that they made me want to research the subject a bit just to see if I want to disagree.

Yeah I think he misses that at least Fallout 3 and Skyrim are basically proto-sandbox games before sandbox games were really codified as a concept. Fallout 4 and Starfield can go fuck themselves though, Fallout 76 is mid but still better than both Fallout 4 and Starfield in my opinion.

This is why leftists lose elections.

Also everybody in the comment section is thinking they are the protagonist of this story.
