gallium isn’t exactly cheap - ten grams on amazon is $40+ usd…
gallium attacks on aluminum aren’t exactly fast either - and you need to concentrate the puddle in one spot to keep it working, with some light agitation to remove the slag that will develop. also, it’s a liquid, so keeping it in one place is hard
while aluminum is a good choice for these devices, I also wonder how many are steel because the lime scooters in my area are heavy as fuuuuuck lol. and I’d worry about aluminum frames bending with the fat bastards I see riding 'em.
