I’m once again reminded how happy I am to live in Australia

Your fuel is still cheap in 'Murica, but you insist on owning stupid vehicles

I’d be unlucky if I spent 'Murican$200 a month on groceries (it’s just me and my dog), but I eat proper food (no convenience food, nothing from a packet)

It’s usually steak, roasted cuts, proper identifiable bits of animals with vegetables, salads etc.

No frozen pizzas or any of the processed shit

And I’m not on a particularly high income or anything

I have never had junk food delivered

I don’t think Americans actually understand that they have mostly had a fat lazy life of convenience

As an American who visited Australia recently, I can’t really disagree with you. There’s a lot of good there that we should learn from an implement here, but our culture as Americans is about individuality and winning. People feel like they are free if they can be individuals and win, if not then the propaganda is there that “Dream” is within reach if you only work hard enough.

      It’s bullshit, but it’s a pride thing.
