Those monuments don’t belong to the government. They belong to The People and simply electing one man to represent them currently should not be enough to destroy those monuments.
It’s like he’s daring the people to revolt. And when they don’t after every ludicrous thing he tries, he just tries something even more ludicrous. I’m almost morbidly curious about where the line actually is at this point, because I thought it had been crossed ages ago.

Sorry to hear that. Most of the people I know tend to know have shifted more toward reactionary centrist territory - if they admitted to voting for him at all.
