My friend’s on reddit a lot, uses it for support questions and reviews mostly, but got fed up with the bullshit toxicity there.

A few days ago I suggested she check out Lemmy, there’s less content, but generally fewer toxic communities and we scrolled a bit.

She checked it out, didn’t understand a meme on WomensStuff, had me ask them about it, and was so put off by their responses that was the end of lemmy for her.
