    Why do these assclowns always end up cherrypicking some vanishingly small set of studies? Does it ever occur to them why the overwhelming evidence goes the other way?

    I wonder how many are just stubborn contrarians, always needing to swim upstream because they think it looks cool. I realize that people like Brainworm here also look to monetize it, too, so I don’t really think they actually believe it. Hard to say in his case.

      They realised that being different made others notice them, and since they’re too stupid to do that with science, the second easiest way is to just make your personality opposing everything unless it directly benefits them

      Narcissism. Their belief is right, obviously, so there must be proof. Even if there’s a mountain of evidence against it.

        I mean, I always think the creationists, especially young earth, are exasperating. But at least with their beliefs, there is not a direct line to doing something that causes themselves and society harm.

        With this, it’s a straight line.
