So, now that he is turning 80, we will stop seeing references to his age in headlines and stories. The media kept emphasizing he was 79, not yet 80. Now, we’ll never see mention of it again.

My grandfather at 80 was still driving to the nursing home to visit my grandma and to the local grocery store. He certainly was not capable at that age of doing anything more complicated than that.

my wife’s grandfather drove until he was 93, had a cute little minivan he would drive 2 miles to the church, so he could pick up meals-on-wheels to deliver to the neighbors who weren’t able to get out. Watched a 90+ year old deliver lunches to a bunch of 70-80 year olds lol, and he knew when it was time to hang it up and stop driving. Guy was a fantastic example of goodness.

It’s perfectly normal for an 80 year old to have health issues

It isn’t to pretend he’s a god and lie about those issues. It isn’t normal to pretend this doesn’t affect their ability to do an important job too.

"You don’t have to wish me a happy birthday, because I’m not happy about that birthday. It’s a number that I never thought really too much about. It’s not a number I like, but I’m here nonetheless.” - a giant orange human-shaped piece of feces

he clearly didnt expect to live this long, which explains his complete lack of planning in anything whatsoever

He’s never planned anything ever. He’s a malignant narcissist… he thinks everything will just work because of the force of his awesomeness, and when it doesn’t it’s because of evil sabotage.

being fair, nobody who’s paying attention would’ve expected him to live this long either. You seen the way he eats? I’ve been expecting him to drop dead of a massive infarction every day for the past ten years and it still has not come to pass.

    “Glitches”

Today I learned we could’ve saved my grandma from Alzheimer’s if we had just factory reset her software. Good to know.
